What is Microblading

1. What is Microblading?

Microblading is a form of tattoo that is semi-permanent and involves the process of delicately depositing pigment into the dermal layer of the skin with a manual tool, giving an illusion of fuller brows by drawing natural-looking thin hair strokes.

2. How long does Microblading Last?

Microblading lasts up to 2 years depending on skin type, sun exposure, and other factors. The perfecting session (touch-up) needs to be booked 4-6 weeks after your initial session. Touch-ups are recommended every 6-12 months.

3. Who can benefit from Microblading?

Clients with normal to dry skin have the best-healed results. Microblading may not heal well on clients with very oily skin, clients with large pores, clients who had previously had tattooed brows.

4. Who should not get permanent makeup done?

Pregnant/nursing, under 18 years old, have a fresh tan/burn face, are currently using Accutane or have used in the past year, are on blood thinning medication, have Rosacea.

5. How should I prepare for my appointment?

  • If you have reference photos feel free to bring them.

  • If you prefer to have your brows waxed/threaded prior please do so at least 48 hours before your appointment, otherwise, I will clean your brows after I draw your brows.

  • Do not tan for 30 days prior to your appointment.

  • Do not use any products that contain Retin-A near your brows before and after.

  • Do not take any blood-thinning medications (i.e. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Fish oil, Vitamin E) at least 72 hours before and immediately after your procedure.

  • Do not drink alcohol the day before and the day of the appointment.

6. A detailed aftercare form will be handed to you at the end of your treatment, you must follow every step in order to have good results, not following the aftercare will cause poorly healed results.

Not following the above instructions may cause bleeding, which will affect how well your body retains pigment and will affect your final result.

*There are no guarantees or refunds with Cosmetic tattoo services, each client has a different skin type, if you do not disclose health conditions or current medications you are taking this will greatly affect your retention as certain medicines counteract the pigment used. Always be open and honest with your technician.
